Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Purrl — Untangle the Yarn (“Purrl”) handles information. Purrl is published by Erek Studio, operated by Mustafa Salim Erek as a sole trader (“we”, “us”).
What Purrl handles
- Advertising identifiers and device information. Google AdMob may collect or receive the device advertising identifier and related device, network, consent, and ad-interaction information to provide, measure, secure, and, when you allow it, personalize interstitial and rewarded advertising.
- App usage. Firebase Analytics processes product-interaction events such as screens, puzzle progress, ad events, and feature use so we can understand and improve the game.
- Diagnostics. Firebase Crashlytics processes crash reports, performance and diagnostic information, and basic device/app details needed to find and fix stability problems.
- Leaderboard data. If you use the leaderboard, Purrl sends an app-generated random player identifier, the display name you choose, gameplay totals used to calculate the score, and a request timestamp. The service stores the display name, score data, and a country code derived by Cloudflare from the request. It does not require an account, email address, contacts, or precise location.
- Local notifications. Purrl may schedule notifications on your device if you grant permission. Notification scheduling and preferences are handled locally.
- Local save data. Puzzle progress, settings, purchases status, and other save data stay on your device. Purrl does not provide cloud save or an Erek Studio account.
Why we use information
We use this information to operate game features and the leaderboard, show and measure advertising, grant optional rewarded-ad benefits, understand product use, prevent abuse, and diagnose crashes and performance problems. Where required, personalized advertising and tracking use your consent. Declining tracking does not restrict gameplay.
Service providers and sharing
Google provides AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. Cloudflare hosts and protects the leaderboard and derives the country code at its network edge. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Advertising identifiers are shared with advertising providers for advertising and measurement; leaderboard content is shared with the leaderboard service and display names, countries, and scores may be visible to other players.
Your choices
- Use the privacy choices shown in Purrl to review consent and applicable US-state opt-out choices.
- On iOS, you can allow or deny tracking in Apple’s prompt and later change it in Settings. Gameplay does not depend on the answer.
- You can limit or reset the advertising identifier through your device settings.
- You can disable notifications in device settings.
- You can avoid the leaderboard or choose a non-identifying display name.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you clear the app’s data or uninstall it. Leaderboard records remain while the service operates unless deleted. Google and Cloudflare retain provider data according to their configurations and policies. To request deletion of leaderboard data or make a privacy request, email mustafasalimerek@gmail.com. Include “Purrl privacy request” and enough leaderboard details to identify the record; do not send passwords or payment information.
Security and international processing
Data is encrypted in transit. We use signed leaderboard requests, access controls, and abuse protections, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process data in countries outside yours, subject to their transfer safeguards and applicable law.
Age
Purrl is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children.
